"I thank you Lord that you have heard me, I know that you always hear me" was the prayer said by Jesus before he called Lazarus from the tomb. Jesus calls us from the death of our old life to new life in the time of Lent each year. Letting go of old ways and old thinking can mean freedom and resurrection. Letting God mold us into new beings can be difficult as we want to keep control of what is happening. But Jesus also tells us to pray and believe and God will reveal his glory. Lent is a time for God to reveal that glory from the empty tomb into our hearts. Praise be to the one who fills us with newness of love of God each Easter season.
