Living Bread

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.
John 6:51

Many in the days of John the Apostle did not know what Jesus meant when he said this. The Jews did not believe him. Wasn't this just Jesus, the boy they watched grow up, the son of Joseph and Mary who lived down the path? How could he be saying such things?

Jesus answered them with this...."no one can come to the Father unless drawn by the Father who sent me"

There are those today who do not believe. Yet, they are drawn to God, because of their spirit. The spirit in us is drawn by the Holy Spirit. We who are made in the image of God, also are part of God. Many resist it this reaching out by God to us. Many run scared for they do not know yet, the love of God. For this drawing of us to God is perfect love. Many of us have never felt that...yet, Jesus died for us in that perfect love. Love that binds us all together as one. We are one together on the cross. We are one together in Jesus. There is a hymn that asks God to bind us together with cords that cannot be broken. Those spiritual cords are from God and cannot be broken. We are bound together in the perfect love of God. We all eat together of the living bread...the bread of Jesus Christ..the body and the blood.

May you know in your heart that we all are one in the bread of life. May you come to know the perfect love of God.
