The last two days have been remarkable to me as I have been given the answers to my questions, yet I need to sort them out in order to understand. Change is always hard, yet it is necessary. Comfort zones need to be challenged. We all need to be shaken up now and then in order to grow in our faith and go another mile on our journeys. When we listen to the sameness whether it be people or circumstances, we miss out on newness and renewal. We miss out on blessings that God has for us. Trying new things is part of the path. The path changes, it is narrow, but not straight. It is a challenging path that we take when we make that decision to follow the one we call the Christ. The mountains can be very high, yet the view is always worth the climb. Sometimes, our weakness overcomes us and then we just need to rest and abide awhile until we are ready to move on. There may be sadness and despair at times also, but then there is always joy. Today I reread a book from a long time ago called Hope for the Flowers. This wonderful book calls all of us to become who we are called to be. It is a Jeremiah 29:11 book. God's wonderful plan for us to give us a prosperous life, not a harmful one, and to find that which we seek when we seek Him. May those of us who follow Jesus be "yellows" to the "Stripes" of the world. May we lead and encourage all of those who are behind us.
