Where is Peace?

The Earth in all it's glory looks so small from space. It looks like a peaceful place to live. Yet, those of us on this Earth, look at the stars at night and and yearn to find peace there. We don't have peace here amid the factions of religion. People kill each other here over God. We look outward for God when we should be looking inward. God lives in all of us. We are all created in the image of God. Peace is within us and can be grasped if we would only look in the mirror. Yet we don't look because in order to look, we have to look inside at all the dirt and muck that is there too. We have to face ourselves in order to find true peace.

Surely it is God who saves me
If I trust in him and not be afraid
For the Lord is my stronghold and my sure defense
And He will be my Savior.
