Healing begins when, in the face of our own darkness, we recognize our helplessness and surrender our need for control....we face what it is, and we ask for mercy.
Straight from the Heart, Dick Ryan

Luke 15: 11-32

Coming Home

The son walked through the door not knowing what to expect. His spirit was weak and tears welled up in his eyes. He had been gone too long. He did not know what his father would say or do. He expected nothing. His father ran to him embracing him, pulling him close. The son fell to his knees and the tears exploded down his cheeks. "I'm sorry". His father shushed him calmly and quietly kissed him on the cheek. "It's not your fault, my son" he whispered in his ear.

"You have been hurt, but now you are home where you are safe. No one can hurt you here."

The son continue to sob, and the father continued to just hold him close. As the son's cries quieted down, he heard his father's heart beating with joy.

Welcome home , my child, welcome home.
