Kindness

Compassion
Love
Faith
Empathy
Understanding
My daughter sent these words to me recently when someone was unkind to me. I have been thinking about the verse in the Bible that says "we reap what we sow". When someone sows unkindness through an action or word, then that negativity goes out into the world. Negative forces are very powerful and thus reaction to these forces are also usually negative so the power increases. However if we sow positive reactions like those above then the negative forces lose their power over us and thus lose their power to affect the world. Good destroys evil.
This Lenten season reminds us of that. Lent leads us to the cross where Jesus defeats Satan once in for all. The blood of Jesus will always win. Satan will always lose.
If we want Kindness, then be kind.
If we want Compassion, then be compassionate.
If we want Love, then love.
If we want Faith, then have faith.
If we to be understood, then try to understand where others are coming from. Try to walk in their shoes. Empathy will come to us when we do that.
All of these come from God. His spirit in us shines out to the world when we sow positive good things in this world in our actions and our words.
So stop and think before we speak or act...
Is it kind?
Is it necessary?
Is it positive?
If it meets 2 out of 3 of those, then go ahead cause we will be sending positive energy into the world! And in return, we will reap the benefits.
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. People reap what they sow.
