November
When the leaves blow down the street
I think of life slipping away
A time of deadness is arising
We live in this time
Until the snowdrops come up through the whiteness
And brighten the gray.
In Korean legend, snowdrops represent hope and warmth. I recently had someone sign their email to me as "warmly". What a lovely term of endearment. Even though, the deadness of winter is among the trees and the plants, we can still bring life through our thoughts and words. They can act like warm fires on a cold day and bring hope to our inner being.
May this winter bring warmness in the form of a healing blanket to your soul.
